Engine emission decal was usually affixed to the drivers side valve cover. See pictures below for locations of this decal on unrestored original cars.

This decal was found on a January 24, 1969 Dearborn built 428 CJ convertible I took pictures of years ago (see first picture with chrome valve cover)

It was common to find this decal at an angle or the lower part of the decal bridging over the valve cover bolt relief on original survivor (see pictures).
