Jack’s Comments: Ford started to use this slip yoke in production around 1971 to replace the earlier Ford machined inner u-joint cup cut version. It looks exactly like the original production 67-70 slip yoke except for the machined inner u-joint cup area. It would be correct for concours judging because it’s a Ford service part but not in a thoroughbred class. Bob Perkins shows this type slip yoke in one of his Mustang Monthly tech articles (Sept 1996) as the correct service slip yoke. Ford stopped supplying this slip yoke soon after the article was published so they are now only available NOS or used.

Finish: bare cast steel
Refurbishing Details: Cleaned, checked for any cup damage, checked for excessive wear or rust pits on main shaft that could interfere with a proper seal and the flat outside u-joint cup areas are lightly machined for an NOS look.
U-joint size: 1330 (3.623 inches wide)
