There was a rubber insulator between the two tubes to reduce vibration and noise. This type of driveshaft construction is not available anymore so we use a stronger solid tube for this application.

Jack's Comments: Because not everyone is building a concours show car we offer this affordable driveshaft ready to install with all new components including the transmission slip yoke. If I were building a driver, restomod or occasional show car I would choose this complete ready to install driveshaft to do the job. These driveshafts use one of the rarest slip yokes, it has 31 splines with the smaller 1310 u-joint that are only available used or NOS. We use a larger 1330 transmission slip yoke and u-joints at no extra charge for this application only. Please call us if you would like us to use one of our refurbished stock transmission slip yokes with 1310 u-joints. If you modified your motor select the seamless tubing for improved reliability (no blue seam).
