They get mounted into the first and last screw holes on the top of the transmission cover. They are installed with the bracket facing the top of the tunnel. It was also used on 1970 Mustangs with 3 spd transmissions. Part #: C9ZB-14A163-B Engineering #: Jack’s Comments:Jack’s Comments: This backup switch wire harness retainer is an exact reproduction.Give Ed Meyer credit for pushing to get this odd retainer reproduced.Most of us, including me have never even seen this clip except in a poor drawing in the electrical assembly manual.This retainer is installed on the most forward shifter-mounting bolt with the plastic clip up.The last picture shows it should be installed (note: this picture shows an incorrect clip I used until this reproduction came out).
