Year: 1970 Description: Tie Rod End Grease/Dust Boot (big suspension) Application: Mustang Quantity: 1 boot (4 boots required) Jack’s Comments: This is just like the production 1970 boot except it doesn’t have the internal metal ring that helped to create a seal at the lower part of the boot.Despite not having the internal metal ring that you don't see when it's installed it fits firmly enough to makes a good seal and looks 100% correct. If you have a set of good original tie rod ends you can restore or a NOS set without the correct boots you can make them 100% concours correct now. This is the ONLY correct boot on the market for your original Ford tie rods.

Q. Will this boot work on non-Ford tie rods?
A. We don’t know, we haven’t tried it on any aftermarket tie rod ends yet.
Q. Aren’t old tie rod ends to worn out to use on a concours restoration?
A. Not in my experience, unless the boots were bad for a long time or the car had a huge amount of miles on it they should work fine once cleaned up and greased.
