This is a new reproduction of the manual transmission identification tag that was found on the right side of every Ford top-loader manual transmission. This is the correct tag if you have a 4-speed top-loader 1969 428 Cobra Jet, 428 Super Cobra Jet or BOSS 429 Mustang, Shelby or Cougar. Comes with the correct drive rivet to hold it in place.

Concours Note:
The manufacture decided to make the reproduction with a grade of stainless steel that looks very close to original cold rolled sheet steel so it would not rust. 

Whats the deal with the number under the RUG AE2 stamp?:
The numbers under the RUG AE2 stamp are believed to be the transmission serial number and don't correlate to anything as far as anyone knows. The tag we send you may have the same serial number shown but you will likely receive one with a random number so your tag has a unique number.
