This is our new reproduction performance aluminum BOSS high performance water pump impeller.  The black finish is a hard anodized finish to protect it from corrosion and electrolysis.

Hard anodized finish completely protects the impeller from electrolysis and corrosion as coolant degrades
Curved vanes that Ford engineered to reduce coolant cavitation at higher RPM's
Cooler running engine. Higher system pressure reduces the onset of hot spots on cylinder walls and formation of steam pockets in the water jacket
