This new reproduction master cylinder cap that is a very accurate copy of the original. The cap is plated clear zinc just like the originals but should be painted semi-gloss black with it installed on your master cylinder. See our Factoid section for more master cylinder details. The cap is just like the originals but the rubber seal is very wrong. It should be thinner and have rectangular tabs, not the round tabs that show. We would advise changing the seal if your car will be judged in a concours class.

Q. My car was built real early in 1969 production. Is this cap correct for my car?
