Safety wire was used on the assembly line to make sure the spindle bolts holding the caliper bracket didn't come loose. Same thickness as original wire. Each wire was the same length and should had been twisted four times per assembly manuals. Do not cut excess wire after twisting. See pictures below to see how it should be installed.
