Tag is located on the main tail light wiring harness that is routed through the trunk. It is affixed approximately one inch from the furthest point on the harness sheathing, underneath the passenger rear tail light. See pictures below.

If your Mustang has standard interior without a trunk light (part of visibility group option) this is the correct tag for your car.
