This kit is for one shock (2 required)
Ford/Mercury rear shock bushings, washers & nuts. The durable rubber bushings are exactly like the originals.
This kit is the best available, but it's not 100% correct depending on your year of car (see concours notes below).
Concours Notes:
Washers are similar but not identical in size to the originals. Original kits had larger OD and ID washers for the upper shock mount.
Nuts are included, but are only concours correct for 1965-67 production FoMoCo, Autolite, and Koni shocks.
Concours Shock Nuts:
1965-67 3/8-24 Nuts with lock washer were cadmium plated on original production FoMoCo, Autolite, and Shelby Koni shocks.
1968-70 3/8-16 Nuts with lock washer were zinc phosphate-plated on original production black Autolite shocks.
Note: Some later Ford service and aftermarket shocks came with 3/8-24 or even metric threads.
Concours Shock Washers:
1965-66 Washers are cadmium plated on all original production FoMoCo, Autolite, and Koni shocks. It's common for MCA and SAAC judges to accept zinc or cadmium plating.
1967-70 Washers are dark zinc phosphate-plated on all original production Autolite shocks. You will need to phosphate the washers in this kit to make them concours correct.
